What to know before you start.
Can I download Decktype now?
Yes. The macOS application is available, signed and notarised by Apple. It is free to create, refine and present.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your .deck files stay on your drive and the application keeps opening, editing and presenting them. Only PowerPoint export, the cloud and the assistant close.
Does Decktype include an AI model?
The Autonomous plan includes an assistant inside the application. You can also connect your own agent, Claude Code or Codex, on any plan: the format is documented.
Is Keynote a native export format?
No. Decktype exports a .pptx file that Keynote opens. Complex features may still render differently.
