Codex and Claude Code can build your presentations. Decktype installs what they need in three clicks, with no terminal.
The journey
Install Decktype and run your agent once
Decktype ships everything needed. Your agent has to have run at least once on this machine for Decktype to see it.
Nothing else to install: no Node.js, no Rust, no administrator rights.
Open Decktype, then Connect an Agent
The entry sits in the Decktype menu, next to Account and Subscription.
Pick your agent and confirm
Decktype reports the state of each agent: detected, already connected, or update available. Before writing anything, it lists the locations it will create.
A decktype folder Decktype did not write is never replaced.

Before writing anything, Decktype names every file it will put down. Start a new session in your agent
A session that is already open will not see the installation. Close it and open a fresh one.
Open a fresh terminal and start Codex.
Open a fresh terminal and start Claude Code.
At the end, Decktype offers a first prompt to try. Hand it a presentation or a website
Your agent turns it into your theme and your templates, then builds your presentations on top of them.

If something goes wrong
My agent is not detected
Run it once, then come back to the window and click Detect again.
Decktype says the folder is unknown
A decktype folder already exists there and Decktype did not write it. It will not replace it. Move it aside if you want Decktype to take over.
My agent cannot find the command
Open a fresh session: one started before the installation does not see it.
